At M Street, people get to know one another—and our history. Young people, community members, artists, and leaders encounter stories, questions, and relationships that shape how they see themselves and their role in the community.

M Street's legacy is carried forward through storytelling, archives, performance, and public conversation – linking past leadership to the questions and responsibilities of the present.
We are restoring the historic M Street building as a permanent home for this work—a place for learning, culture, civic life, and community gathering. The renovation ensures the building serves future generations while demonstrating that cultural stewardship, environmental responsibility, and community investment are inseparable.
